Examination TextHannah Carr aged 32 years lodging at Mr Davis's in White Hart Yard in Castle Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her said that she is the wife of William Carr (now in the country) to whom she was married at May Fair Chapple the 18th Day of December in the year of our Lord 1738, that he is a Taylor by trade and was bound an apprentice by an indenture to this Examinant's Father John Wedgewood a Taylor against the Golden Cross in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin the Fields aforesaid and there served the term of seven years which expired about 16 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since, that she hath two children living by her said husband to wit Ann aged three years and an half and Ralph aged five months both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 30th Day of December 1751 before Benjamin Cox.
