Examination TextElizabeth Smee aged 55 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. George Hanover Square within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith she is the wife of Thomas Smee (gone from her) to whom she was married at the ffleet about two years ago, that he is a Waterman by trade and lived in and rented an house in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of six months at the yearly rent of 13 pounds and 10 shillings besides taxes, quitted the same about one year and an half ago and hath never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since. Taken the workhouse the 17th Day of February 1752.
