Examination Text | John Hubbard aged 50 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden upon his oath saith he is a Carpenter by trade and lived in and rented two houses in McPhersons Alley (now Olivers Alley) in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 18 years at the yearly rent of 18 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same between three and four years [ago] and hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since. Taken in the workhouse the 18th Day of November 1751. |
