Examination TextNathaniel White aged 40 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed the Parish of St Margaret Westminster upon his oath saith that before his intermarriage he was a yearly hired servant in the capacity of a Footman to Mr Collet Mawhood in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of three years and upwards at the yearly wages of 5 pounds the first year and 6 pounds for the other two years diet and lodging, quitted the same about 20 years ago and hath never rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place (before marriage) for 12 months together since, that he was married to his present wife Jane at the ffleet about 20 years ago by whom he hath one child living to wit Ann aged one year and upwards both with her friends at Enfield. Sworn the 12th Day of February 1752 before Benjamin Cox.
