Examination TextThe Examination of Hannah Randall a Rogue and Vagabond apprehended by Henry Brown one of the Bedels of the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex and brought before me one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the Liberty of Westminster aforesaid taken this second Day of January in the year of our Lord 1776. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 25 years of age, that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs Ireland on the South Parade in the Parish of St James in the city of Bath the space of two years all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 8 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about two years ago, that she hath not done any act to gain a subsequent settlement. Sworn the Day and year abovesaid before Cornelius Martin.
