Examination TextThe Examination of Mary Leslie lodging at No.2 in Johnson's Court in the Parish of St Martin the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Alexander Leslie (now a soldier at Guernsey Garrison) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St John in Westminster the 16th of July 1774, that her said husband lived in and rented an House in Marygold Court in the Parish aforesaid for the space of two years as she believes at the yearly rent of 10 pounds as her said husband hath informed this examinant, that her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since he quitted the aforesaid house. Sworn the 25th day of January 1776 before Thomas Bullard. Vide 190 Daughter.
