| Examination Text | The Examination of Sarah [Stanley] in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St George in the County of Middlesex taken this [blank] Day of January 1776. This examinant on her oath saith that she is 24 years of age and upwards, that she never was married, that she was on the 13th day of February last delivered at the house of Mr Mackinon in Cow Yard in Artichoke Lane in the Parish of St George of a Male bastard child (since christened John) yet living and is become chargeable to the said Parish of St Martin the Fields.
