Examination Text | Ruth Crese aged about 47 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr [Licingthorp] a Butcher in Hungerford Market in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 15 months at the yearly wages of 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same 22 years ago, that she never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 15th Day of December 1757 before Benjamin Cox. |
