Examination Text | Ann Goodge aged 21 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she this Examinant was a yearly hired servant to Mr Jones a Pastry Cook opposite Bull Inn Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of one year and two months at the yearly wages of 50 shillings diet and lodging, quitted the same about two years ago, that she this Examinant never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 13th Day of December 1757 before Thomas Kynaston. |
