Examination TextHannah Webb aged 33 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the liberty of Saffron Hill Hatton Garden and Ely Rents in the Parish of St Andrew Holborn in the County of Middlesex upon her oath saith that she is the wife of William Webb (on board his Majesty's sloop of war the Hornet) to whom she was married at the Fleet between 9 and 10 years ago, that he was bred to the Sea and never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his father was a Basket Maker by trade and served his apprenticeship to Mr Coney in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant since the expiration of his said apprenticeship to this Examinant's knowledge, and that her said husband was born in the said Parish St Martin in the Fields, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Ann aged four years and 10 months now with this Examinant. Sworn the fifth day of January 1758 before Thomas Kynaston.
