Examination TextMartha Corbett aged 29 years passed from the Parish of St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the said county upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Smith a Mathematical Instrument maker the corner of Hudson's Court in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one whole year and upwards all under one hiring at the yearly wages of eight Guineas diet and lodging, quitted the same service about 12 months ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the sixth day of August 1776 before Thomas Bullard.
