The Information of Joseph Ward< no role > Servant to and
living with Messrs. James Strange< no role > and Hammend
Parker of Bishopgate street London Cheesemonger
Taken this 12th November 1781

Saith that being in Hounsditch about twelve o'clock as
noon on Thursday last he saw the Prisoner Thomas Lewis< no role >
on the opposite side the Way with a Turkin of Bucker
upon his Shoulder marked I is in Chalk by which
Informant knew it to be the Property of his said Masters
and was therefore produced to fellow the Prisoner who went
up Sandwick Court and from there into Derryhire
square where Informant stept him and asked where he
was going with the Firkin of Butter who replied to
his Master thus Informant there told him whose Property
it were & desired him to take it last which he accordingly
and to the shop of Messrs. Strange and Parker in
Bishop gate street
