2d. Decr. 1715

To Mr. Edward Page< no role > Artsmaster of the said Hospital The said
John Harrison< no role > and Thomas Hudson< no role > and the rest of the Blew
Coat Boys with Sticks in their hands in a Riotous & Tumultous
manner went to St. Sepulchres And the said Thomas Hudson< no role > (being
taken into Custody by ye Constables there in the said Riot &
Tumult) was Rescued by the said Blew Coat Boys the said John
Harrison
< no role > being Still among them That the Said Blew Coat Boys
gathered money of People for a Bonfire and then went to the
Bull alehouse next door to Bridewell and expended fifteen
Shillings which money was in the Custody of Mathew Barrett< no role >
a Blew Coat Boy and apprentice to one Mr. Bell and Artsmaster
of the said Hospital And that the said James Male< no role > and Roger
Gethins
< no role > were then present and did portabe of the Drink which they
had by the said money that from which Alehouse the said Boys
went out in a Body with Sticks in their hands about the like number
among whom were then present the said John Harrison< no role > and
Thomas Hudson< no role > That as they were goeing by the Ditch Side the
Said Thomas Atkins< no role > & Harris were Standing there & Suffered
the Said Boys to go on without Saying any thing to them That
the said Blew Coat Boys proceeded So farr as the Crown Tavern
upon Ludgate hill where he this Informant did then and there
See the Said John Harrison< no role > and Thomas Hudson< no role > with Severall
of the Said Blew Coat Boys (whose names he doth not remember
but Should well know them when he Seeth their faces) with-
their Clubbs and Staves flinging about the Bonfire that was at
the Crown Tavern And that the Cry of the said Blew Coat
Boys was high Church and others amongst them high Church and
Ormond and that ye Cry of other Persons thereabouts was-
King GeorgeAnd this Informant further Sayth On the
one & Thirtieth of Octor. Last in the Evening being the Anniversary
Birth day of his Royal Highness George Prince of Wales one
John Rhodes< no role > (a Blew Coat Boy and apprentice to Wm. Phillips< no role >
one of the Artsmasters of the Said Hospital) told this Informant
that he the said Rhodes had that night bought three penny worth
