Council Men for the year ensuing.

then Moved that the Fine for
Ward Offices should be raised: which after much
debate was Carried in the Affirmative. And two Sums
were thereupon proposed, to wit, the Sum of Twenty
Pounds by Mr. Hebert, and the Sum of Fourteen Pounds
five shillings by Mr.

, and both being
Seconded, the Question was put, Whether the Ward
Fine should be raised to Twenty Pounds, or Fourteen
Pounds five shillings only, and Mr. Church Warden
Chesson declared there was a great Majority for raising
the Ward Fine to Twenty Pounds. It was therefore
Ordered that the Fine for Ward Offices be Raised to the
said Sum of Twenty Pounds.

then Moved that the Resolve of this
Meeting for raising the Ward Fine as aforesaid should
be laid before the next Precinct Meeting for Confirmation
And Mr. Reynolds added, that when the Notices were
issued to the Inhabitants for such next Meeting, there
should be under wrote to the effect, that it would be then
determined, whether the said Order for raising the
Ward Fine should stand Confirmed. Which was
directed accordingly.
Then Mr. Church Warden Chesson Adjourn'd the
Meeting, untill another Summons should be sent out
