Examination TextMargaret Arundell aged 24 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of Catthorpe [sic] in the County of Leicester upon her oath saith that she never was married bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that she hath been informed that she was born in that part of Drury Lane which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that her father Thomas Arundell (who died when this Examinant was young) was as she hath heard a Chairman, but where he was born or that he ever was bred to any trade kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to her knowledge or as she ever heard [sic]. Sworn the 26th Day of February 1752 before Benjamin Cox.
