| Examination Text | Ann Morris aged 34 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Bell in Monmouth Court in Hedge Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly wages of five pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about one year and an half ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Taken in the workhouse of 23rd Day of December 1757. |
