Examination TextMary Wolf aged 60 years lodging at Mr Whaley in that part of Rose Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Wolf (who died five years and seven months ago) to whom she was married at the ffleet 28 years ago, that her said husband was born in the Kingdom of Ireland is she this Examinant hath been informed and verily believes, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together in England to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this Examinant was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Henry Williams a Sadler and Imbroiderer in that part of Rose Street which is in the Parish of St. Paul Covent Garden within the liberty of Westminster and there served his said Master about five years, and then her said Master removed into Queen Street in the parish St Giles in the Fields in the County of Middlesex and there served the remainder of her said term, but that she this examinant during all the time of her said apprenticeship lodged with her Aunt in Conduit Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields which was with her said Master's consent. Sworn the eighth of October 1770 before Thomas Kynaston.
