Examination TextFrances Lawson aged 35 years lodging in a house let out in tenements in that part of Bear Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of James Lawson (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St. George Hanover Square the 21st January 1765, that her said husband is a Mason by trade and lived in and rented an house in that part of Bear Street aforesaid for the space of three quarters of a year at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same last Michaelmas, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that she this Examinant hath two children living by her said husband to wit Hannah Elizabeth aged four years and upwards and James Robert William Augustus aged two years and upwards both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 16th Day of October 1769 before Peter plank.
