Examination TextNicholas Smither aged 63 years lodging at Mr White's in White Hart Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Richard Prout a Staymaker in Villers Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields and there and in the Bucks: Street served his said Master all the said term, that he never kept house or separate tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes, nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the expiration of his said apprenticeship. Sworn the seventh Day of February 1770 before Peter Planck.
