Examination TextEdward Flood aged 69 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed from the Parish of St. James within the liberty of Westminster upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that since the death of his late wife Jane (who died 30 years ago) and having no child living he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Salterello an Italian Cook in Monmouth Court in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of nine years at the yearly wages of 6 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about one year and an half ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the eighth day of January 1770 before Peter plank.
