Examination TextThe Examination of Sarah Nayer Removed from the Parish of St James in the Liberty of Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields Taken this [blank] Day of January 1779. This Examinant on her Oath saith That she is 24 years of age, That she is the Wife of William Nayer (Impressed in his Majesty?s Sea Service) to whom she was Married at the Parish Church of st. Anne within the Liberty of Wesmr. by Banns the sixth Day of June 1774, That her said Husband was bound an Apprentice by an Indenture for seven years to Benjn. Fox a Cabinet maker near New Street in St Martin?s Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the fields, and there served all the said term out, as she, This Examinant, hath been Informed by her Said Husband, That her said Husband never kept house or rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together since the Expiration of his said Apprenticeship, That she hath two Children by her said Husband to wit Sarah aged four years and upwards and Samuel aged Eight months both now with this Examinant.
