At a Meeting of the Committee Elected and appointed
pursuant to an Act of Parliament intitled "An Act to amend
"and render more effectual several Acts made relating to
"Paving Cleansing and Lighting the Squares Streets Lanes and
"other places within the City and Liberty of Westminster and [..]
"adjacent" in the Vestry Room of Saint Clement Danes the
November 1771

Proposed and Agreed that Mr. Kitchiner take the Chair

The Minutes of the last Meeting Read and Confirmed
The Clerk having paid before this Committee the Commissioners
Order of the 5th- Instant which being Read It is Ordered [..]
a return be made to the said Commrs- that the Rate for Repair
Cleansing and Lighting the several Streets Courts Lanes and
places in this Parish except such as have been already Paved
under the Optional Clause amounts to One thousand four hundred
and seventy Pounds eight shillings and that the Additional
of Six pence per Pound on the Streets Courts Lanes Etc in this
Parish already Paved under the Acts of the 2d.3d. 4th-5th or 6th
of his present Majesty amounts to Two hundred and one
Pounds Eleven Shillings And that the Rate of Six Pence
per Square Yard for Churches Church Yards Etc in this Parish
amounts to Fifty two Pounds two Shillings and six pence
And that the Sum of Two hundred and sixty Pounds
be on Collected in part of such Rates and that no money
yet been borrowed on the Securities of the Additional [..]

Also that a Return be made that this Committee did
pursuant to the Act of Parliament appoint Matthew Chess< no role >
their Clerk Thomas Banister< no role > their Supervisor John [..]
their Collector and George Nixon< no role > their Inspector but that [..]
have not appointed Salarys to any of them except the Collect
who is to be paid three Pence in the Pound for his troubles for
moneys he Shall Collect And that the writing up of
Names of the Several Streets and Places at the Corners
are for the greatest part done and the Remainder are
doing.
