are confirmed by the Opinion of the Two Council they have
consulted on that Head

Ordered That the several Committees be again desired
to settle with the several Contractors for keeping the Carriage and
Footways in Repair and Lighting the Lamps agreable to the Order
of the Commissioners of the 25th- of June Instant, and that they do
furnish Money for the Payment of the said Contractors Bills
for the Quarter ending at Midsummer last as the Act directs

Westminster Bridge Office Old Palace Yard
Septr. 24th- 1771

The Supervisors made their Returns respecting the
Number of Lamp Irons fixed up in the several Parishes according
to the Order of last Meeting and it appearing that the Contractors
in the following Parishes Vizt. Saint Clement Danes , Saint
Martins St. James , St. Anne, St. George Hanover Square , Saint
Giles & St. George Bloomsbury the Liberty of Saffron Hill and
Ely Rents have been very Remiss in fixing up the Lamp Irons
Contracted for

Ordered That it be Recommended to the several
Committees to Fine the said Contractors it all the said Lamp
Irons are not fixed up in due time so as the whole Town
may be Regularly lighted at Michaelmas next according
to the several Contracts entered into with the Respective
Committees
