Yours dated the 25th. inst: came to hand yesterday, wherein you
[..] write that Joseph Brooks< no role > of Tibshelf proposes to take a
small Parcel of Coal Ground, being about two Acres, lying in Mr. Hand's Farmer,
that he agrees to pay £50.. on signing the Articles, & £50.. more that time,
twelve month, & to pay in proportion for more than two AcresWhich I have
laid before Mr. Treasurer, who desires to know, for what time Mr: Brooks
intends to take it, whether for one year only (as the above Proposal seems
to imply) or for a certain number of years, and if he would pay for it by the
Acre, or a yearly RentWhich when you have informed Mr: Treasurer
of He will lay the Proposal before the Commee you Will please to

I reced yors: by Charles, think my self greatly obliged to
you for the care & Pains you take to serve the Hospl: in this unhappy
Affair. I greatly approve yor: not buying in Calves to suck at Present
for fear of the Infection, but hope we shall not be obliged long to keep so
many Folks at Board Wages, I should be glad of yor. Opinion whether
young Flower is fit to be intrusted in selling the Corn Etc I must own
I have some fear about it. When you receive the Money for the Cows
& Hogs, desire you would pay the Land Tax & Poors Rates as customary.
Charles tells me Mr: Morten is of Opinion to buy some Piggs to
eat the skin Milk Etc. a I think it is very right to do so if you approve
of it. I should be very glad to hear of a good Tent: in the mean time
greatly depend on yor: Judgement & Fidelity. I am Etc a
