this Agreement to any Person nor to mention it when the Clerk was in the
Office. That Lavender the Clerk had no part of what he got.

Mr Friquet denied the whole of this Charge and Charged the Witness
Berry with being a Man of bad Character and said he was ready to deny the
whole upon Oath

3d Charge

That Mr Friquet has taken Two shillings for Night Charges, having seen
it taken, Two Shillings demanded for the Charge and discharge.

2d. Charge

Thomas Collins< no role > Water Gilder, Constable of St Sepulchre 's Parish said that he
Executed a Bench Warrant on two People at Kentish Town Mr Butcher and Mr.
Standish; That he took one of them upon a Sunday Morning and carried him to
New Prison , the other was taken on Saturday Night to the same Prison, Mr. Stephenson
threatned the Constable with a Prosecution for taking his Man on a Sunday, asked if
they could not be Bailed, Witness said he believed they might, They came to Mr Friquet
on the Green, spoke to him coming out of Church, Stephenson put in Bail and gave Mr
Friquet half a Guinea and Mr Friquet said he gave no Change on a Sunday and gave
a Note, to New Prison to discharge the Men; The Men were discharged and they came
to the deponent, the next day for Change for the half Guinea, he said they must go to
Mr Friquet, that he afterwards heard the Alen demand the Change of Mr Friquet
who said he had given it to Mr Stephenson and several Months afterwards the Men
said they never had their Change.

4th Charge

Witness produced a Warrant of Distress signed by Mr Friquet, Said he had
Executed a Warrant of distress of Mr Friquet's upon one Giles for the Poors Rate,
said Mr Friquet took Five Shillings as the Fee for this Warrant from Beadle and said
he always took Five Shillings; Mr Bickerdicke paid the Money about 12 Months ago.

That Witness took Four Prisoners upon one Warrant before Mr. Friquet on the
27th. day of August 1789, Mr Friquet took 2sh. each as he said to punish the Villains
Vizt. One Shilling Warrant and One Shilling discharge though they were all
included in One Warrant one of the Men was committed to New Prison the others
three paid Two Shillings each the business being settled.

7th Charge

Mrs. Miller Baker , Said she had discharged Servant, The Man said he
would stop a few days, That it was the rule of the Trade not to pay the Men's
Wages until it was seen that all was clear, but he Summoned her before Mr Friquet
for Wages, Mrs Miller did not attend first Summons not knowing that there was
any other Justice but Mr Justice Blackborow but afterwards went before the
Justice and she Swore the Balance was Two Shillings, That she, paid down Two
Shillings before Mr Friquet for the Man to receive which was all she owed him
he having had Bread out of the House to the Amount of Three shillings That she
was told it was more and therefore he refused to take that. That Mr Friquet
