September 1790

16thHath frequently threatned to Rich Persons out of his Office or
send them to Newgate when they have requested him to sign a Pawnbrokers
Duplicate without paying him for so doing

17thThat he can prove Mrs. Walsh did not pay any Money in Mr.
Blackborow's Office but did pay it to Mr Hatfield who lives at Islington
and that Mr Friquet received Fourteen shillings of Mr. Russell the Beadle
of this Parish for Summons's granted by him for Tippling.

18th.That he Bailed Hunter a Constable in the Prison and discharged
him without Fees; and that even since the Committee sat.

19th.That he keeps a Person whom he calls a Clerk who walks up
and down before his Door takes People into Mr. Friquets Office there gets a
Shilling for the Warrant and frequently makes them wait four or Five
hours before the Warrant is delivered to them.

20thHath detained Persons and Warrants in his Office and would not
deliver the Warrants although paid for because his Officer was not in the
way to serve them.

1st. Charge..

Harry Morey< no role > , Patten maker , White Cross Street has seen Mr. Frquet
frequently in the New Prison with Pens and Paper Writing, Supposes he
was taking Copies of Commitments, writing from the Book

2d. Charge

William Berry< no role > Clerk to Mr Blackborow, Says that he attended Mr.
Blackborows Office about Three Months before Mr Friquet came to sit in
Mr Blackborows Office, That Warrants were made special to him before
Mr Friquet attended, That he applied for them having no other Employment
at that time he attended to execute Warrants though not a regular Peace
Officer, That he was to bring the Prisoners to Mr Blackborow's Office first
When Mr Blackborow when to Bath he applied to Mr Friquet who sat in his
absence in the same manner who agreed that Warrants should be made
special to him and that whatever. Money he should get for serving such
Warrants that Mr Friquet should have an equal share with him, The
reason he assigned was that it was a favor as he was no Officer, That in
one instance he had Two shillings going to Holloway Mount< no role > , he kept One
Shilling and Accounted to Mr Friquet for the other - Never served any
Warrant for Mr Friquet till the Agreement took place, always paid a part of
what he so received to Mr Friquet, Mr Friquet desired him not to mention
