complained that if they were not taken up he must leave his House
that when he took her up she was rescued. That Witness got a
Warrant against her the next day Mr Blackbow granted a Warrant
against Witness and he was bound over to the Sessions and his Warrant
discharged.

Mr Blackborow said the Woman alluded to was getting
a Pot of Bar at an Alehouse door, and not soliciting Men, nor in
any improper Act; That they have committed 20 in a day but never
Indicted any of them.

Joseph Jordan< no role > Clocksmith , Said he is a Headborough Sworn
at the Leet. That about the 20th of June Mr Turnell in taking up a
disorderly Girl, she Escaped, another Woman acknowledged striking
Witness, and was committed as disorderly, That Mr Blackborow
came down to Witness's own House and asked Witness, Why he did
not bring the Watch Book to his Office? he said he took it to Mr
Friquet who behaved in such a manner as satisfied him, then Mr.
Blackborow said we will by for it; Mr Blackborow said there were
his Tenants, Witness said if he found them disorderly he would take
them up; Mr Blackborow said if he took them elsewere he would
Indict them, for that by the direction of the Paving Board they were
to carry the Prisoners before Mr Blackborow Your Committee
adjourned to the Fourth of August when the before mentioned Affidavit
of Read was read but Read could not attend

Mr Richard Hughes< no role > Keeper of the Kings Arms at Holborn
Bridge appeared before the Committee and informed them. that on or
about the fifteenth day of April or May 1787 The Newbury Waggon< no role >
John King< no role > Carrier was robbed going out of London, that some of Mr
Blackborow's Runners came the same Morning and told him that
they had taken some things at a House of ill Fame and that the
property was at Mr Blackborows Office. He went there and saw a Box
of Sugar Candy marked J: F: S: that he could Swear to another
Box with the Mark rubbed off Two Pieces of Yorkshire Cloth about
Twenty two or Twenty three Years in each piece, he told Mr Blackborow
