Commee to examine
in to ye Genrl. Managemt.
of ye House of Correction }

Government of the House of Correction Resolved that it be referred
lack to the said Committee to examine into the General Government
of the said Prison and that the said Committee do meet at this place on
Tuesday next at the hour of Twelve in the forenoon to proceed in the
said Examination

By Adjt. same day

Mr Newport directed
to return a list of
Psons detained in his
Prison for Fees.}

It is Ordered that upon sight hereof Samuel Newport< no role >
Keeper of New Prison at Clerkenwell do forthwith return to this Court
a List of the Names of such Persons as are now detained in his
Custody for fees only how long they have been so detained and whether
any and whom have remained in Irons.

The like Order on
Mr Harwood}

The like Order Mutatis Mutandis upon John Harwood< no role >
Governour of the House of Correction at Clerkenwell .

This Court being informed that Mr Harwood and Mr Newport
attended in pursuance of the above Orders Mr Harwood was called in and
the above Order being read he declared he had not any Person in his
Custody for fees only and that he did never keep any one in Irons on
that Account Whereupon he was Ordered to withdraw Mr Newport
was now called in and having heard the above Order read he
produced a List of which the following is a Copy.

Samuel Ward< no role > discharged 13th. January Detained 4 days for his fees
remained in Irons
Sophia Hollis< no role > discharged 13th. January Detained 4 days for his fees
William Maynard< no role > dischd 14th. January Detained 3 days for her fees
John Nash< no role > discharged 12th. January Detained 4 days for his fees

This Court being informed that a Woman who had been
brought to Bed

removed in 4 Days
to Newgate.

This Court being informed that a Woman who had been
brought to Bed in New Prison had within the space of four days
after her Labour been removed to Newgate to take her Trial at the
