To the Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of
the Peace in their General Session
Assembled.

Report of the Committee
touching the moneys due
to Richd. Jupp Carpenter
for the alterations & work
by him done for making
the Court at Hicks Hall
more commodious &
warm for the winter
half year.
May 21st. 1735

That in Pursuance of an Order made in August
Session last We Nathaniel Blacker< no role > by John Martin< no role >
Alexander Garrett< no role > Richard Farwell< no role > and John Mercer< no role >
Esqrs . five of the Comittee of his Majesties Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex for making the Court of
Hicks Hall in Saint John Street more commodius & warm
for the Winter half year and to contract with Workmen Etc
Do Certify that Nicholas Hawksmore< no role > Esqr . was appointed by
us and others of the Court to take a Survey of the Said
Court & wee contracted with Richard Jupp< no role > Carpenter to
make & perform & find & provide all Materialls & other
Necessarys to be done in and about Hicks Hall according
to the Plan then drawn & delivered by the Said Mr.
Hawksmore for the Sume of One hundred & forty Pounds
being the Sume limitted by Order of Session, And Your
Said Comittee having no Power to give any more for
the Said Work & undertaking your Said Comittee were
of Opinion that the Prices in the Said Richard Jupp< no role > 's
Estimate of the Said Work being low That the Sume of
Five Guineas more Should be allowed to the Said Richard
Jupp in Case the Said Work was well performed to the
Satisfaction of your Said Comittee, and the Said Mr.
Hawksmore, And which the SaidComitteeCourt in
December Session last did agree too & approve of, And
Your Said Comittee did appoint & Order the Said Richard
Jupp to make Two windows on the East Side of the Said
Court and Two Barrs & Hinges to the Doors in the Front
of the Court at the Sume of Ten Pounds and which
was afterwards agreed to by the Said Court in
December Session last, And the Said Mr. Hawksmore< no role >
haveing this Day in writing under his hand Reported
to Your Said Comittee that he has taken a Survey of the
Said Work done by the Said Richard Jupp< no role > at Hicks Hall
aforesaid according to the Plan and agreement, And
