The Humble Petition of His Maties Justices of the
peace for the County of Middx in their General Quarter

Humbly Sheweth

That of late Years Several new Theaters, Play houses, or
Houses for Playing of Interludes have been Erected in the County

And Act Plays Tragedies, & Comedies And in other Entertainments
of the Stage which are performed where Wine, Ale, Beer, & other
Liquors are publickly Sold & retailed for the Encouragment
of Disorderly persons to resort & come to Such Houses, Which

Incouragement of Vice Lewdness & all manner of
of Immorality.
