Order for enlargeing the
time for takeing a view to
See if the work done for
makeing Hicks Hall more
warm & commodions,
be well performed, And
also for making two Sash
windows on the West
Side of the Court}

If appearing to this Court that Nicholas Hawksmoore< no role > Esqr . (who
was appointed to take a Survey of Hicks Hall in Order to make
the Same more commodious & warm for the Winter halfe
yeare) hath been ill & not able to be present with the
Committee of his Maties Justices of the peace of this County to
take a view and See if the work done by Richard Jupp< no role >
Carpenter for making the Said Hall more commodious &
warm, is well & Sufficiently done & performed, And the Said
Mr. Hawksmoore< no role > being Still indisposed It is Ordered by this
Court that the time limited for takeing the Said view and
seeing if the Said work is well & Sufficiently done & performed,
be enlarged untill the next General Session of the peace to
be holden for this County, And it being now moved that
two Sash windows be added and made on the West Side of
the Court at Hicks Hall This Court doth agree thereunto, And
doth Order that the Said Committee be empowered to treat &
agree with the Said Richard Jupp< no role > for the Same according to
an estimate of the charge thereof made & Signed by him
for the Sum of thirteen pounds So that the Same be
finished on or before the first day of October next.

touching the method to be
taken for recovery of the
arrears Standing out upon
the Vagrant Rate, And for
preferring Indictmts. in Order
to recover the Same Etc}

Whereas in and by a Report made unto this Court by Nicholas
Jeffreys John Martin< no role > John Mercer< no role > Alexander Garrett Anthony
Chamberlain & Robert Tothill< no role > Esqrs . Six of his Maties Justices of
the peace of this County being a Quorum of the Committee of
Justices of the peace of the Said County appointed by an Order
of Sessions to consider of Some proper method to be taken for
the recovery & obtaining of the moneys Standing out & in
arreare upon a Rate made in Easter Sessions one thousand
Seven hundred & thirty four upon the Several parishes &
places in this County for raiseing of moneys to defray the
expences of passing & releiving of Vagrants, and to make their
Report in writing touching the Said matter to this Court, It
is in the Said Report expressed That the Said Six Justiceshave
haveing mett together had proceeded and considered of the Laws in force
for the recovery & obtaining of the moneys Standing out & in
arreare upon the Said Rate as far as they were capable in the
matter referred to them And that they have agreed upon the
following Report (to wit) That by the Statute of the 12 Queen
