Order for appointing Mr.
Trice Hammond< no role > to be
high Constable within the
Hundred of Edmonton in
the Stead & place of Mr.
Edmund Bellis< no role > }

At the request of Edmund Bellis< no role > Gent high Constable within the
Hundred of Edmonton in this County who hath Served the Said Office
of high Constable for the Space of five yeares & upwards It is Ordered
by this Court that the Said Edmund Bellis< no role > be and he is hereby
discharged from his Said Office of high Constable, And this Court
doth appoint Trice Hammond< no role > of the parish of Edmonton within
theSaidSame Hundred in this County Gent to be high Constable
within the Said Hundred inthis County Gthe Stead & place of the
Said Edmund Bellis< no role > , And this Court doth Order that the Said
Trice Hammond< no role > doe forthwith (after notice of this Order) attend
Hugh Smithson< no role > James Colebrook< no role > Samuel Tatem< no role > & Merry
Teshmaker Esqrs . Justices of the peace for this County residing
within the Said Hundred of Edmonton or one of them or Some
other Justice of the peace for this County residing in or neare the
Same Hundred, And that the said Trice Hammond< no role > doe forthwith
before Such Justices or Justice of the peace take his Oath for his
due execution of the Office of high Constable within the
Hundred of Edmonton aforesaid.

Order for the Treasurer to
pay Mr. Saml. Barnard< no role > £9..9s.
for a New Jack}

It is Ordered by this Court that John Higgs< no role > Gentl General Treasurer
of this County doe out of the publick money belonging to the Said
County pay unto Mr. Samuel Barnard< no role > a Jacksmith the Sum of
nine pounds & nine Shillings for a new Jack by him provided for
the Justices of the peace of this County and for fixing the Same
up in the Kitchen at Hicks hall and for the line, weights &
materials thereunto belonging, he the Said Samuel Barnard< no role >
first returning unto Mr. Thomas Bromley< no role > Housekeeper of
Hicks hall the old, Jack, weights, & other old materials
thereunto belonging, which were in the aforesaid kitchen
before the putting up the Said new Jack, and were taken
away by him the Said Samuel Barnard< no role > or his Servant
And that the receipt of him the Said Samuel Barnard< no role >
together with this Order Shall be a Sufficient discharge
to the Said Treasurer for Such payment.
