Esqr . to be Chairman of the
Court in the Stead of
Edward Barker< no role > Esqr .}

His Maties Justices of the peace for the County of Middx now
assembled at this present General Sessions of the peace
holden for the Said County Doe elect Thomas Lane< no role > Esqr . to be
Chairman of the General Quarter and General Sessions of
the peace to be holden for the Same County between Easter
one thousand Seven hundred and thirty five and Michaelmas
then next following in the Stead & place of Edward
Barker Esqr . the present Chairman.

Complaint haveing been made to this Court that his Maties
Court of Kings Bench was moved in Hillary Terme last for an
Information against John Higgs< no role > Gent Treasurer of the moneys
directed by an Order & a Rate made by the Court of General
Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for this County in the
week next after the close of Easter last to be raised upon the
Several parishes hamlets & places in this County to defray
the expences of passing & releiving of Vagrants, For that he
the Said John Higgs< no role > had issued a precept under his hand &
Seal directed to Alexander Clark< no role > Gent high Constable of
Holborn Division to make a Rate or Assessment on the
Several Inhabitants in the Several parishes & places in
his Division for passing Vagrants, And that aRateRule
of the Said Court of Kings Bench hath been Served upon
the Said John Higgs< no role > for his Shewing cause the first day
of Easter Terme next why Such Information as aforesaid
Should not be granted against him, And this Court being
of opinion that the Said Mr. Higgs had done his duty in
issueing forth his precept in order to raise the moneys
assessed by the Order & Rate aforesaid for the purpose
above mentioned did Order that Several persons
Should be Sumoned to appeare before this Court to give
an account of the occasion of giveing notice to the Said
Mr. Higgs of moveing the Said Court for the Information
aforesaid, And upon hearing of Several of the persons Soe
Sumoned and also of Thomas Robe< no role > Esqr . a Justice of
