Admeasurements which have been taken by direccon
of the said Commissioners within the Weekly Bills
of Mortality, for the Use of his Majestyes Justices
of the Peace of this County,

P adjorn Jovis 1o. die July 1725 .

Order touching
the preventing
of disorders
at Hampstead Fair }

Upon information given unto this Court that a Fair or
pretended Fair hath for some Years past been holden at
Hampstead in this County, and that severall Common
Players of Interludes have contrary to Law acted
severall Plays and Drolls there and that severall
Persons there have used exercised and kept Gameing
Tables, and Cupps and Balls and other unlawfull
Games, where young or unwary Persons have been
defrauded of their Moneys, And that severall Persons
there have permitted Tipling and Drunkenness and
Curseing and Swearing in their Houses or Booths
and that severall assualts, affrays and other
disorders and illegall practices have been
comitted there by evil disposed Persons to the great
disturbance of his Majestyes Peace, And that such
like Fair or pretended Fair is intended to be again
shortly holden at Hamsted aforesaid Now For the
prevention of such mischeifs and disorders as aforesaid
and for the better preservation of his Majestyes Peace,
It is Ordered by this Court that Thomas Jones< no role >
Gentleman high Constable of Holborne Division in
this County takeing to his assistance such a Number
of his Petty Constables or Headboroughs as he
shall think sufficient doe attend at the said Fair
or pretended Fair intended to holden at Hampstead
aforesaid and use his and their utmost diligence
and endeavours to prevent any mischeifs or
disorders there, and to preserve his Majestyes
Peace,
