Upon complaint made unto this Court by Francis Geary< no role > Gent Agent
for the Cryer of this Court that several persons take upon them to sell
beer Ale brandy and several Distilled Liquors by retail in several
parishes and places in this County without being licensed so to do by two
or more of his Maties Justices of the peace for this County, and that the
Constables and Bedells refuse to go along with him the said Francis Geary< no role >
to the houses of such persons who sell beer Ale Brandy and other Liquors
within their respective Districts without license, or to assist him in obtaining
a discovery of their names and places of abode, It is thought fit and
Ordered by this Court that the respective petty Constables and Bedells of
the several parishes and places in this County do upon sight hereof
forthwith go along with the said Francis Geary< no role > to the houses of all and
every person and persons who sell beer Ale Brandy or any distilled
Liquors by retail within their respective Districts either with or without
licence, to the intent that a true and exact accompt in writing of the
Christian names Surnames and places of abode of such of them as have
no license for so doing may be taken by the said Francis Geary< no role > and be
by him left with the Clerk of the peace of this County or his Deputy.

residing in the parishes
of St. James Clerkenwell
& St. John Clerkenwell
of confirming & allowing
Poor's Rates and
Overseers Accompts}

A Debate ariseing upon an Appeale against the Accompt of
the Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. James Clerkenwell in
this County for the last Year suggested to be allowed by two Justices
of the Peace residing within the said parish at a private
Meeting, It is Ordered by this Court that it be And It
is hereby recommended unto the Justices of peace
inhabiting within the said parish of St. James
Clerkenwell and the parish of St. John Clerkenwell
late parcell of the said parish of St. James Clerkenwell
(the Poors Rate being one and the same over both
Parishes) That noe future Rate or Rates for Relief of
the Poor there or the Accompt or Accompts of any the
Overseer or Overseers of the poor there be confirmed or
allowed unless at some Publique Meeting to be had at some
Publique place within one of the said parishes upon three days
Notice or more given to all the Justices residing within
the said Parishes of the times and places appointed for
such Meetings, And that the said Overseer's Accompt
for the last Year and so every Subsequent Accompt be laid
before the said Justices at such Meeting or Meetings for their
inspection and direction for the makeing of any new
Rate or Rates,
