the same in his own person and not by Deputy, and safely keep all such
prisoners as shall from time to time be comitted to his custody untill they
shall be discharged by due course of Law, And also if he the said Joshua
Walker do and shall yearly during the time he shall be and continue
Keeper of the said prison pay the yearly Sume of thirty pounds of
lawfull mony of Great Britain in manner following (vizt.) ten pounds
P Anum part thereof unto the Matcon of the house of Correccon at
Clerkenwell in the said County for the time being untill further Order
of the Court of General or Quarter Sessions of the peace for the said
County to the contrary for and towards her support and maintenance
by quarterly payments (to witt) at Midsumer, Michaelmas, Christmas,
and Lady day by equal porcons, the first payment thereof to be made
at Midsumer next, and also the Sume of twenty pounds P Anum
residue of the said Sume of thirty pounds P Anum to the Clerke of the
peace of the said County for the time being or his Deputy by quarterly
payments (to witt) at Midsumer, Michaelmas, Christmas and Lady day
aforesaid by equal porcons (the first payment thereof to be also made at
Midsumer next) to be applyed as the Court of General or Quarter Sessions
of the peace for the said County shall direct for repaireing Newprison
Aforesaid and the dwelling house buildings and appurtenances thereto
belonging untill the same shall be effectually repaired in such manner
as the said Court shall approve off according to the intent and meaning
of an Order made at the General Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for
the said County by adjornment on the fifth day of July in the eighth
year of the Reign of his present Maty King George, and in case the said
Court shall Order and direct the said Sume of thirty pounds P Anum to be
paid to any other person or persons That then if he the said Joshua
Walker do and shall from time to time well and truely pay the same
unto such person or persons and in such manner as shall be so Ordered
And directed, And that if he the said Joshua Walker< no role > so long as he shall
continue Keeper of the said prison shall at his own proper costs and
charges do all such further repaires as shall be necessary to be done to
the said prison and the dwelling house buildings and appurtenances
thereunto belonging over and above what shall be done by his payment
of the said Sume of twenty pounds P Anum to the said Clerk of the peace
or his Deputy for the purpose aforesaid, And that if he the said Joshua
Walker his Executors or Administrators do and shall well and truely pay
or cause to be paid into the Sherriff of the said County for the time being
or his Order for the use of his now Maty King George his Heirs and Successors
all such Sume and Sumes of mony as have been or shall be imposed
and set for any fine or fines by any of the Justices of the peace for the
said County assembled at any of then General or General Quarter
Sessions of the peace held within the said County on any prisoner or
prisoners comitted or to be comitted to the custody of the said Joshua
Walker as Keeper of the said prison for any Offence or Offences by them
comitted and which shall or without his or their wilful default may
at any time or times be reced by him or his Servant or Servants dureing
such time as she said Joshua Walker< no role > shall continue Keeper of the said
prison, and do and shall likewise well and truely accompt with and pay
