Thus having observed in General on the sd. Report the Commee Proceed to
Shew what Recopcon this Report met with from the Trustees. The Report
was made the 28th. of Janry. 1717 when Mr Jennings was in the Chair,
It was reced, Ordered to be entred, thanks to be given to the Commee
& to be considered Paragraph by Paragraph at their next Meeting.
After Mr Jennings had quitted the Chair and himself & many more
gone away, Another Trustee was Put into the Chair, and at the
Close of the business of the day, the Minutes of the day were read
(which on Examinacon we find to be the only time that the Minutes
were ever read) and agreed to, all except the latter Part of the Minute
for returning thanks to the Commee. The 4th. of Febry. the Report was
considered Paragraph by Paragraph, It is censured as containing
many In sinuations & ground less Refleccons on Mr Fuller & Mr Edwards
& without further Reasen they give their thanks to the said Mr Edwards;
and tho they think fit to disagree with the said commee as to what
Relates to Mr Edwards, Yet they could not Permit themselves totally to
disagree with the said Commee but are Pleased to make some Orders
on the Observacons made by the said Commee in their Repot The
Commee cannot find in what Part of the said Report those
In Sinnatons & groundless Refleccons on Mr Fuller & Mr Edwards are to be
found

The third Paper laid before you is a Report from a Commee appointed to
inspect their late Trearers Accots. It was not reasonable to expert this
Report should meet with better Recepcon then the other. The Report was
made the 8th. of July 1718-was read-and ordered to be entred-at the same
time a Mocon was made for thanks to the Commee, and carried in the
Negative. and at the same time the Trustees thought fit to disagree with
the Commee as to such Sums as the Commee were of opinion ought not to
be allowed to the said Mr Edwards, and imediately Ordered those Sumes
to be allowed to the said Mr Edwards, which they well Know was Contrary
to their former Order and to an Agreemt. made by the said Mr Edwards
himself. And then to compleat all order thanks to be again given to
their favourite Trearer Mr Edwards Thus much may Suffice as Genal
observacons on the Proceedings of the said Trustees The Commee think
at not Improper to lay before you some Particular Articles for your
Consideracon

3d. July 1717
16th.

"Mr J: Edwards chosen Treasurer, being desired to accept the Same"
"Ordered that the Present Trearer give no Security"

The Commee as to this Article observe that the Toll amounts upwards
of £2500 Comunibus Anms That the said Mr J. Edwards is a Tradesman
in Cheapside , has no visible Estate in this County, & therefore
we conceive it Mange that no Gentleman of a visible Estate
in Land could be found fit to be made Treasurer, Or that
the said Mr Edwards might not be obliged to give Some
