To the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor< no role > of the
City of London and the rest of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace in and for the said City at their
General Session of the Peace assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint James Westminster in the
County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order under the Hands and
Seals Sir Watkin Lewis< no role > Knt . and Thos. Woobridge
Esqr . two of his Majesty< no role > 's Justices of the Peace for the said City of
London and Liberties thereof (one being of the Quorum) bearing
Date the 11th. Day of November last Instant Ann< no role > the Wife
of Thomas Hubbert< no role > then a Soldier in Jamaien and whose
Place of Settlement could not be found with their Daughter
named Sarah< no role > aged Five Years and upwards were removed
and conveyed from thesaidParish of St. Botolph without
Bishopgate London to the said Parish of Saint James on
Westminster as the Place of their last legal Settlement
whereby your Petitioners conceive themselves aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore humbly appeal
to this Court agt. the adjudication of the said
two Justices and their said Order and Pray
that the Hearing and Determining of the said
Appeal may concern at this Present General
Session

And your Petitioners shall ever Pray
