WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of

's Justices of the Peace
for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Bride
London, That Peggy the Wife of
James Brown< no role >
a Sailor
and her Son Named
James aged< no role >
twelve Months had
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtained
any legal Settlement there, and were likely to become charge
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof as well upon
the Oath of the said Pegay as otherwise
adjudge to be true; and we do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said Peggy and James her

to be in the said Parish of Ellingham
in the said
County of Southampton
and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.
These are therefore in His Majesty< no role >
's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Bride
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said Peggy
and James her Son
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Ellingham
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive
and provide for them according to Law. Given under our
Hands and Seals, this 9th. Day of March One Thousand
