Whereas Complaint hath been this day made unto us
Two of her Majties Justices of the peace for this City and
Liberty (Quorum unus) by the Church wardens and
Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Botolph without
Bishopsgate London That To Hanah Medison< no role > wife of
Thomas Medison< no role > wth. Ann< no role > her daughter aged about three
years are come lately into the said Parish endeavouring
to settle herself & Child therein Contrary to Law and her said
husband not haveing gained a legall Settlemt. in the said
Parish of St. Batolph without Bishopsgate and it appears
unto us the said Justices that the the said Johanah Medison< no role >
and Ann are likely to Browne [..] chargeable unto the
said parish And whereas it also appears unto us she
said Justices as well by the Examination on Oath of the said
Johanah Medison as also by other [..] good Circumstances
That about Six years agoe The said Thomas Medison< no role >
was a yearly hired Servant above one year at Six parish
P ann (being then a single person) wth. Mrs. Sarah Cole< no role > .
at the Ipswich Arms June in Colham Street in the parish
of St. Dionis Back church in the City of London and
noe subsequent settlement appearing unto us the said
Justices we doe therefore deem and adjudge in the last
legall settlemt. of the aforesaid Johanah Medison< no role > and
cum Medison as in the aforesaid parish of St. Dionis backchurch

These are theirfore in her Majesties
to will and require you she Church Wardens and Overseers of the
poor of St. Botolph without Bishopsgate London or Some as
one of you forthwith to remove pass & Convey the said
Johanah Medison< no role > and Ann< no role > her daughter unto the
parish of St. Dioniss back Church London and Ele [..]
leave with the Church wardens and Overseers of the poore
there or Some of one of them who are here [..] Required
to receive and provide for them as she Law directs and
This shall be your warrant Given under Our hands
& Seals this twenty Second day of July Ano Din 1773

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the

without Bishopsgate London and St. Dionis
