The humble peticon & appeale of ye. churchwardens
& Overseers of ye poor of ye. parish of St. Leonard
Shoreditch in ye. County of Midx.

Sheweth.

That by a warrt. under ye. hands & Seales of Sr : Char: Duncomb< no role > Ktt :
Lord Majr : of ye. sd City of London & one of her Maties Justices of ye.
peace for ye. sd City & Sr: Frane Child< no role > Ktt. another of her
Matis Justices of ye. peace for ye. sd City (Quor unus) beareinge
date ye. 10th. day of November Last past Mary< no role > ye. wife of
Peter Gate< no role > wth. Mary< no role > her Younge child, who removed from
the parish of St. Butolph Bishopsgate London to ye. parish
of St. Leonard Shoreditch aforesd. therein alleadginge that
ye. sd. Peter Gate husband of ye. sd. Mary Gate was bound an
Apprentice to one George Grainger< no role > a weaver in Holloway
Court in ye. sd Parish of St. Leonard Shoreditch by Indenture
dated ye. ord. day of Augt. 1698: & Lived therewth. his sd Master
for some time afterwards.

That your Peticonr. thinke themselves agreived wth. ye. Judgmt of ye
sd. Two Justices of ye. peace and humbly appeals at. ye. said
Warrtt: for that your Peticon sd double not but they will
make it plainly appearels this Honable. Court that ye. sd Peter
Gate
< no role > never Lived wth. ye. sd. George Grainger< no role > in ye. sd parish
of St. Leonard Shoreditch & ipewer bound to him by
Indenture was only to get a freedom & not otherwise

Your Peticonr. therefore humbly prayes your Worspr.
will be pleased to grant an order that ye. Churchwardens
& Overseers of ye. poor of ye. sd parish of St. Butolph
Bishopsgate , may attend this Honable. Court this Present
Sessions to heare & abide ye Judgmt. & finall
determinacon of this Court touchinge this appeale
