The humble Peticon & Appeale of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Parish of St. Bartholomew
the Lesse London
Sheweth
That by Virtue of a Warrant under the handes & seales of twoe of their
Maties. Justices of the peace
wth. in this Citty a certeyne male child aged an
about 3 yeares found wandering in or neere St. Bartholmews Hospitall
wthin.
the said pish was sent & delivered to yor. Petitioners to be provided for and
mainteyned by the said Parish which yor. Petrs. receive They are not by
Lawe to provide for & mainteyne The said Child being left wth. in the an
Prmint of the said hospitall The Governors. whereof are Patrons of the
Church these And pay nothing towards the releife of the poore And who
are to provide for the poore in their Hospital or to be left therein As
formerly they have done
Yor. Petrs. therefore humbly pray That yor.
Honors. and Worshippe would be pleased to
order that the Trer of the said Hospitall may
appeare before yor. And that you will be pleased
to heare yor. Petrs. in the prmisses And [..]
order the keepeing of the said Child according
to Lawe.
