the City of London And to the Right Worll. their Maties.
Justices of the Peace of the same City.

The humble Petition & Appeale of the Churchwardens
& OverSeers of the Poore of the Pish of Cleworth in
the County of Berks

Sheweth


That by virtue of a Warrant or Order under the hands & Seales of twoe of
their Maties. Justices of the Peace of this City one Elizabeth< no role > the wife of Wm.
Deighton
< no role > and their Child were sent & brought by the Churchwardens of the
Parish of St. Andrews undershaft to be provided for by yor. Peticoners
upon the Oath of Edwd. Tilliard< no role > that the said Wm Deighton< no role > being now
Souldier was an Appntice in the said Towne of Cleworth whereas in tenth
the said Wm. Deighton suit he was att Clenworth was a hired servant to
with Jno. Munt< no role > a Taylor dwelling in the said Pish of St. Andrews Undershaft
wth. Whome he continued for a years wth. ended in October 1688 And was in tenth
the place of his last legall settlement.

Their humble into to yor. good honor. & Worps. is that
you will be pleased to order the Churchwardens of the
Pish of St. Andrews Undershaft to Appeare before you &
hear them in the Prmisses and to Quash the said Order
and send the said Eliz: Deighton & her Child to the Pish of
St. Andrewes under that to be pvided according to Law.
