The Information of Jane Laws< no role > servant to Richard Saunders< no role > of Whitechapel
High Street in the said County Linnen draper taken this 11th day of August 1789
Who being on her oath saith on Saturday last the 8th Instant about the hour of Five
in the afternoon The Two persons present who say their names are Sarah Persons and
Anm Cave came into the shop of the said Richard Saunders< no role > and asked to look at a piece
at Muslin sufficient to make each of them a cap That she shewed them several pieces of
Muslin they being very difficult which she laid on the Counter says they agreed to have
One Yard and half a Yard of one of the said Pieces at three Shillings and ten pence a Yard that
as she was cutting the said quantity off. the piece, She saw Sarah persons draw something
from the Counter from under the Muslin she was to cut offSays when cut off she rowled
it up when one of them laid Two Shillings [..] on the Counter, That she went round the Counter
and found the piece of Muslin produced which had been laying on the Counter when they came
into the Shop and is of the Value of Twenty five Shillings lying [..] under the feet of
Anm Cave covered with her cloaths as she sat up on a Steel in the ShopSays she is
positive the said Sarah Parsons< no role > took said piece of Muslin from off the Counter and when
searched they had not money sufficient to pay for the piece of Muslin of One Yard and
half which they had agreed to bury

Search Parsons< no role > says she with Ann Cave< no role > went on Saturday afternoon last to buy some
Muslinto buyfor to make a Cap for each that they looked over two or three bits before
they cheesed the piece they were to have part off which she paid Two Shillings in past
intending to call again to pay the remainder says she did not take the piece off the County
believes the person who cut the muslin off throwed the piece of muslin off the Counter as she
was shewing the other pieces
