The Informations of Charles Charlsworth< no role > of
No 124 High Holborn Haberdasher , and Charles
Charlesworth
< no role > Nephew and Servant to the first
mentioned taken on Oath before me this 13th. day
of August 1789.

Who being on Oath severally say and first the first mentioned
Charles Charlsworth< no role > on his Oath says that being given to understand
this Morning that Stephen Turpin< no role > now present his Servant had
Yesterday Robbed him, he Charged said Turpin with it, who [..]
at first desired it, but upon Informant insisting upon seeing
his boxes he Consented and open'd them and from one of them said
Turpin look< no role > a Purse Containing Thirty five half Crowns which he
gave to this Informant saying that was all the Money he had in
his box that upon Informant asking him whether he was not
ashamed of himself and telling him that those half Crown must
be his property and asking him whether that was all he had
[..] of this Informants property said Turpin replied that was
all he had, that upon Informant questioning him farther
said Turpin produced to him [..] , three half Guineas,
four half Crowns, and four Shillings our of his Pocket and added
that was all he had upon him where upon Informant ordered him
into Custody. And the said last mentioned Charles Charlsworth< no role >
for himself says that Yesterday afternoon his Master being absent
he observed the said Stephen Turpin< no role > put some money in his
Masters till in the Shop and as he was going away from
the Till he observed him put something into his Right
