The Informations of Christopher Crook< no role > of Surrey
Street in the Strand Linen Draper and Fletch well
Bowman Servant to Mr Moulds Pawn broker at
the back of Saint Clements Church taken before
the William Addington< no role > Esquire this 26th. Day
of August 1789

Who being severally upon Oath say, and first the said Christopher
Crook< no role > for himself says, that about the beginning of this present
Month of August he this Informant missed a piece of Printed
Callico in this Shop in York Street, Covent Garden that about
Wednesday or Thursday last, Informant received intelligence
that the Piece of Callico, which he had so missed was in the
[..] Window of a pawn brokers Shop in Wych Street , that he
this Informant and his Partner Mr: Francis, went immediately
to said Pawn brokers House, where they saw said Callico and
Claim'd it as their property, and upon Enquiring of the pawn broker
how he came by the same, he was answered, that he (the pawn broker)
had on the Sixth Instant purchased the said Callico [..] of Two Women
calling themselves Ann Cave< no role > and Sarah Parsons< no role > for Two Guineas
and an half, which said Two Women, as he this Informant has
been told and believes to be true, are now in prison charged
with another Felonyand the said Fletchwell Bowman< no role >
for himself saith, that on the Sixth Day of August Instant,
Two Women calling themselves Ann Cave< no role > and Sarah Parsons< no role >
came to the Shop of Mr. Moulds Pawn broker in Wych Street and
offerred a piece of printed Callico for sale, which this Informant
purchased of them, for Two Guineas and on half, that having
since been informed that the said Callico was stolen in the Shop
of Messr Francis and Crook Linen drapers in youth street and that the
Two Women of whom he purchased the same were under
Confinement for some other offence, he on Monday last went to the
New prison at Clerkenwell to be satisfied of the truth
thereof, when and where he saw the said Ann Cave< no role > and Sarah
