being Sworn saith That he was
called to the Assistance of the deced on Thursday
Evening when he found him with a Wound beneath
the left Breast near unto the Navel which must have
been occasioned by some Sharp Instrument that he
dressed the Wound and directed some Medicine but
had then reason to believe such Wound to be Mortal
and since the decease of the said John Wilkinson< no role >
Deponent has opened the Body and finds the
Instrument had Penetrated the Substance of the
Liver which brought a great Effusion of Blood
and as as Deponent verily believes the Cause of his
Death and that such Wound was of the Length of
One Inch and of the Depth of half an Inch or
thereabouts
