The King on the Prosecution
of Cornelieus Roiden< no role >

Mary Harris< no role > }

Cornelieus Roiden< no role > of Swallow Street in the
Parish of Saint James Westminster Yeoman Maketh
Oath and saith That he this Deponent did in the
last July Session Prefer a Bill of Indictment against
the above Named Mary Harris< no role > for Stealing from
his Person or Watch and some other Property and
the same (as this Deponent hath been informed and
believes to be true) was found a true Bill And that he
this Deponent was then in Service and could not
Attend to the Prosecution thereof without running
the risk of incurring his Masters displeasure and
perhaps being turned out of his Place is consequence
there of and thinking the Trial of the said Mary
Harris
< no role > would not come on until the Session following
did not attend her Trial and she was accordingly
Acquitted And this Deponent of within Saith that his
Intentions were to Appear and give Evidence against
the said Mary Harris< no role > and that he would has
endeavoured so to do had he known when her trial
would have been And that his Non Attendance was
not owing to any Partiality or Favor for her but was
entirely for want of Knowing thatwhere her Trial Wou'd
come on so soon
