The Information of Sarah Bishop< no role >
Wife of Thomas Bishop< no role > who lodged in
the Kitchen of Claves House taken
before me this first day of April 1788

Who being upon Oath
Says that having spent the day abroad on Sunday
the 23rd. of March, the Returned Home about 8 or 9
O Clock in the Evening That She and her Husband
soon afterwards went to Bed. but were so much
disturbs by a Noise, which they heard in Clarys Shop
or Ware Room, as to induce her to call out and
Ask who was there, upon which Clary said it is me
[..] and she Replyd. It is very well. That about
an hour afterwards she heard some Person came into
Clary House, at the Back door, and again call'd
to know who was their and was in like manner
answered by Clary that it was him,That about
2 O Clock she tho [..] she smelt Fire, and got out of Bed
(her husband being then asleep) & opend' the Kitchen
Doors which leads upon the Stair Case, when she
perceivd the Passage full of Smoak, and heard the
cracking of Fire like Curning Deal, That She
Instantly call'd her Husband and told him to get up
for that there was a Fire near them, That her
Husband Got out of Bed Immediately
and
