it was Clareys House which was on FireThat this Informant
was present when the Shop Windows were broke open and
plainly perceived the Fire to be confined to the Place or Room
which Clary called his Ware Room That by the light of
the Flames this Informant looked into the Shop and could see
no Goods what ever but is very possitive that had then been
any he must have seen them that Clary said to this Informant [..]
don't yor see the Flames now come [..] up the Kitchen Stair
[..]
to which this Informant Replied he did not and is now convinced
that it could not be as the Ground Floor has sustained but little
damage from the Fire That during this Informants stay in
Pareys [..] House whichtheywhich was about four Months he seldom observed
Clarey at Work and when he Clarey was at Work it was chiefly
on a Sunday upon his Bed in the Back Parlour that he never
saw him selling Goods or any Person come into the Shop to
Purchase any or give order for any
